Ode to Bougainvillea

In Greece, where the sun meets sea's embrace,

Bougainvillea blooms with vibrant grace.

Adorning cliffs with hues so bold,

In tales of ancient lore retold.

Upon the whitewashed walls they climb,

With petals flushed in sunset's prime,

Whispering secrets to the breeze,

In the language of flowers, they appease.

Crimson, magenta, and hues unseen,

Their beauty, a poet's cherished dream,

Each bloom a brushstroke, a stroke of grace,

In nature's own enchanted space.

Amidst the azure Aegean sea,

Bougainvillea dances wild and free,

A symphony of colors, a sight to behold,

In Greece's story, forever told.
